Yesterday, I shared the importance of writing a compelling story in photography. If you missed it, scroll up for the details! Today, let’s dive into understanding and addressing pain points in your photography business.

What are pain points? These are specific challenges your potential customers face daily. Knowing them is key to tailoring your services effectively. It is like selling clean drinking water to solve issues like thirst, lack of access, health concerns, and financial burdens.

Why understand pain points? They help you provide solutions that resonate with your customers. It is like this. If a doctor does not know what disease is troubling a patient, they will give the wrong treatments and in turn, lose the patient.

And you do not want to lose customers as a photographer which is why understanding this concept is crucial. Now, let’s apply this to photography. As a portrait photographer, you address several pain points that make your services invaluable.

As a portrait photographer, you are approached for different reasons: — Headshots — Graduations — Family portraits, etc. I’ve shot a couple of headshots and graduations: www.instagram.com/7th.region

So you want to understand what your clients want and then you tailor your services to them effectively. You want to be a good doctor who understands your patient before administering medicine. Your practice depends on it. Your business depends on understanding your customers.

How do you feel when you visit your client’s home and notice your images hanging on their walls? That feeling is… good. Very good!

Tomorrow, we go again. Keeping the momentum for 2024. If this brought you value, do well to share this article. We are building a lasting photography business together. See you in the next post.
