Stage 2 Of Marketing In Photography
If you have not checked stage one, tap on this to read.
We’ve understood what curiosity is. Basically, it is having great work, which is the solution to what the client is looking for, and how you will communicate that.
Enlightenment goes deeper!
THE PROSPECT
A potential client needs some headshots for his LinkedIn profile. He wants a photographer and happens to be on your website/social media.
What do you think he would want?
— A great headshot!
But you won’t be there to convince him to choose you. He has a problem, he has come to your website for a solution. Or he’s come to you in person. The solution can be found in your specialized niche. How will you arouse his interest? This is what curiosity is about.
You want to have a clear message in your bio or website that will raise his interest. The message you present shouldn’t be about you but them, having the solution to their problems (which is a corporate headshot that will make him happy).
Just looking through your photos or work you want to him to say, “I want this photographer to cover my headshots”
Now, Enlightenment.
This is about how you can deliver. You should watch the video I shared yesterday. You’ll understand better. It’s about saying I can get the work done!
The prospect has found the solution, but how does it work?
You sell a drug that can cure hangover, but how does it work?
This is not about how your product or service works. It is about making them understand how your product or service works to solve their problem. If you cannot communicate this, they will be confused and might walk away.
So how do you do this on your website or social media or in person? You can make a video about this. It’s the best or a pdf they can read from your website, making them understand how you’ll make them survive by choosing you.
- tell them how the headshots will attract clients.
- how a photo speaks more than a thousand words.
- how classy they would look.
- how their headshots will attract their future employers on LinkedIn.
- he will be noticed because he will look sharp in the photos.
- you will make him look confident, professional and classy… Etc. Anything to land the client.
And you can we conclude with this assurance:
Because of your current photo and profile on your LinkedIn, you have attracted fewer clients, fewer jobs and work. And after this headshot session with me and after you have updated your profile with the Photos, I’ll make with you and for you, your managers and friends will be impressed. Why? Because your new profile will not only bring more profile visits, it’ll bring you opportunities too.
Now that you are in a trusted relationship, because your prospect knows you can deliver, you can go ahead to ask them to commit. Which basically means asking them to book you.
Did this help? Tomorrow, I’m going to teach you how to make a client commit to you. Peace!
